Frequency-stabilized HeNe laser

Demonstrating stable accuracy in measurements at ultra-high resolution of 1 nm!

This is a light source for optical heterodyne displacement measurement. It is an essential item for achieving high resolution and high precision, and is indispensable for optical measurements. For high-precision measurements, the stability of the "ruler" is desired. The HeNe laser serves as a reference laser due to its stable frequency as a gas laser. However, even in a free-running state (simply connecting the laser to a power source to turn it on, in a commercially available emission state), the frequency stability is high at f/f ~ 10, but it is insufficient for measurements with high precision, particularly at a resolution of 1 nm. Frequency-stabilized lasers enhance frequency stability and improve the reliability of high-precision measurements. They are essential for conducting high-precision optical measurements. (The frequency stability is highest in solid-state lasers, followed by gas lasers and semiconductor lasers. However, solid-state lasers are expensive, and semiconductor lasers do not provide sufficient stability. Gas lasers are the most practical. However, there are no stabilized lasers for argon lasers or HeCd lasers.) *For more details, please inquire through a request for materials or download.*

Frequency ultra-high stabilization HeNe laser 'YS-307'

Frequency stability of 10⁻¹¹. Over 1,000 units delivered to major manufacturers as light sources for precision interferometric measurements for smartphone and automotive lenses, as well as semiconductor wafers.

The Japanese Micro Optical Device's frequency-stabilized HeNe laser series achieves frequency stability with a measurement error of 0.01 nm - 1 nm per meter. As a laser light source mounted in measurement devices for lens measurement for smartphones and automotive cameras, flatness measurement of semiconductor wafers, and birefringence measurement for photomasks and exposure equipment stepper, it has a cumulative production record of over 1,000 units for domestic and international equipment manufacturers. We offer three types of lineup according to application and precision (YS-307 / QQD / QS). The 'YS-307' utilizes the "frequency pulling phenomenon" to achieve ultra-high frequency stability of 10⁻¹¹, a frequency fluctuation width of less than 1/20 compared to competing products, and high output of 3 mW in single mode simultaneously. By locking the mode at the center of the Ne gain curve, it also achieves high frequency reproducibility upon restart in addition to high output. By adopting a two-stage stabilization control and a two-heater system, it minimizes the impact of environmental temperature changes and expands the effective operating temperature range. This maintains frequency stability even under long-term continuous operation conditions. *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Frequency ultra-high stabilization HeNe laser 'QQD'

Measurement error of 0.1 nm per meter. Has a track record of delivering over 1,000 units as a light source for precision interferometric measurements to major manufacturers.

The Japanese Micro Optical Device's frequency-stabilized HeNe laser series achieves frequency stability with measurement errors of 0.01 nm - 1 nm per meter. As a laser light source mounted in measurement devices for lens measurement for smartphones and automotive cameras, flatness measurement of semiconductor wafers, and birefringence measurement for photomasks and exposure equipment stepper, it has a proven track record of over 1,000 units produced for domestic and international equipment manufacturers. We offer three types of lineup according to application and precision (YS-307 / QQD / QS). The 'QQD' is a Zeeman laser that stabilizes the difference frequency generated by orthogonal two frequencies in a transverse magnetic field. It allows for easy configuration of a heterodyne interferometer with orthogonal two frequency output. By adopting a two-stage stabilization control and a dual heater system, we suppress the influence of environmental temperature changes and expand the effective operating temperature range. This maintains frequency stability even under long-term continuous operating conditions. * For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Frequency ultra-high stabilization HeNe laser 'QS'

For nanometer measurements in a wide range of fields. We have a track record of delivering over 1,000 units as a light source for precision interferometric measurements to major manufacturers.

The frequency-stabilized HeNe laser series manufactured by Japan Micro Optical Instruments achieves frequency stability with a measurement error of 0.01 nm - 1 nm per meter. As a laser light source mounted on measurement devices for lens measurement for smartphones and automotive cameras, flatness measurement of semiconductor wafers, and birefringence measurement for photomasks and exposure equipment stepper, it has a proven track record of over 1,000 units produced for domestic and international equipment manufacturers. We offer three types of lineup according to application and precision (YS-307 / QQD / QS). The 'QS' is a popular laser applicable to nanometer measurements across a wide range of fields. It stabilizes the power ratio of two oscillation modes, allowing output in both single mode and dual mode. By adopting a two-stage stabilization control and a dual heater system, it minimizes the impact of environmental temperature changes and expands the effective operating temperature range. This maintains frequency stability even under long-term continuous operation conditions. * For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.
